We deliver performance and product efficiency for customers in power generation, oil & gas, petrochemical, and industrial sectors. Our offices are strategically positioned to provide global access to our expertise while maintaining a local focus in everything we do. We are a leading supplier of auxiliary equipment for major gas turbine OEMs and a trusted provider of aftermarket products and services for gas turbine operators worldwide.
Role, Team & Location
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Product Solutions team in Cramlington, UK. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, integration, and commissioning of electrical systems associated with air intake filter houses for gas turbine installations. You will ensure that each system you develop meets the highest standards of safety, functionality, and compliance while supporting Braden’s global mission to deliver reliable and sustainable energy solutions.
You will collaborate closely with mechanical, project, and fabrication teams to design complete, efficient systems from concept to delivery—contributing directly to Braden’s reputation for excellence in gas turbine auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer at Braden, you play a pivotal role in ensuring the technical and operational excellence of our electrical systems. You begin by thoroughly reviewing client specifications and project documentation, translating complex requirements into safe, compliant, and efficient electrical designs. Your designs cover power distribution, control panels, lighting, earthing, and instrumentation interfaces—all engineered to support high-performance gas turbine filter house systems.
You prepare comprehensive technical deliverables, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, wiring diagrams, load calculations, and control panel layouts. Each document you produce reflects your deep understanding of international standards such as IEC, NEC, and IEEE, as well as your commitment to accuracy and clarity. Collaboration is central to your role. You work closely with mechanical and project engineers to ensure full integration between electrical and mechanical systems. You also engage with vendors and clients to review technical submittals, equipment data sheets, and drawings—providing expert feedback to maintain compliance and consistency across all project elements.
Beyond design, you are actively involved in the field, supervising installation and commissioning activities. You oversee the implementation of wiring, control panels, and instrumentation, ensuring all work meets quality, performance, and safety expectations. You participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FATs and SATs), verify that all systems function correctly, and support troubleshooting during start-up and handover. Throughout each phase of a project, you maintain strict adherence to HSE policies and conduct risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards. You combine your technical acumen with a practical, hands-on approach—ensuring that every electrical system you deliver operates efficiently, safely, and in line with Braden’s standards for excellence.
Your expertise, problem-solving mindset, and attention to detail are key to Braden’s continued success in delivering innovative, reliable, and sustainable solutions to the global energy industry.
