Role, Team & Location
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our Product Solutions team. This role is located at our office in Heerlen. In this role, you will play a key part in developing strong customer relationships and converting technical requirements into optimized commercial solutions. You will prepare competitive and accurate proposals, contribute to winning new orders, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
As Sales Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with the Director of Product Solutions, engineering teams, and clients around the world. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that values technical expertise, commercial insight, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer, you will manage the full cycle of technical sales — from identifying new opportunities to finalizing contracts. You will actively seek out and develop relationships with potential clients, expanding Braden’s customer base while maintaining strong partnerships with existing customers.
You’ll be responsible for interpreting client requirements and translating them into tailored technical and commercial solutions. By leveraging your understanding of fabrication processes and engineering principles, you’ll prepare accurate cost estimates and detailed proposals that align with both client expectations and company strategy. Throughout the sales process, you’ll ensure all enquiries and proposals are handled according to company procedures and documented in our ERP and CRM systems (Epicor and Salesforce). You will perform risk assessments, track the status of proposals, and communicate updates and financial implications to management.
In close collaboration with the engineering and operations teams, you’ll optimize solutions for cost, performance, and manufacturability. You’ll also stay on top of market developments, updating pricing, subcontracting, and material costs to maintain competitiveness.
Your role will extend beyond the office — you’ll represent Braden at trade shows, visit clients on-site to discuss technical and commercial solutions, and contribute to building long-term, trust-based relationships. By recommending improvements to sales and quotation processes, you’ll help enhance the overall efficiency of the Product Solutions team.
