Role, Team & Location
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at our Heerlen office. In this role, you will be responsible for executing logistics and transport operations, including the preparation and handling of all related shipping documentation. You ensure timely, compliant, and accurate movement of goods internally and externally, while maintaining data accuracy and effective communication with stakeholders.
You will report to the Manager Procurement and Logistics and work closely with Project Managers, Purchasing, and Accounting. Additionally, you will maintain frequent contact with external parties including fabricators, freight forwarders, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will take ownership of the full logistics process from purchase order to delivery. You are responsible for issuing enquiries and purchase orders within delegated authority, and you coordinate closely with subcontractors to ensure goods are delivered on time. Part of your role is verifying and approving incoming invoices, making sure everything is accurate and compliant with Braden’s procedures.
You will organize transportation to meet strict delivery deadlines and handle all related transport and customs documentation, such as packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin. In this process, you ensure that every shipment is fully compliant and properly documented. In addition, you are responsible for accurate data entry in customer notification systems, maintaining detailed and reliable shipment records, and ensuring that all packing and delivery information is traceable. Your strong Excel skills help you manage these processes efficiently.
Beyond execution, you actively track deliveries and monitor progress against schedules. You proactively inform internal stakeholders—such as project managers and purchasing—about delivery status, potential delays, or other issues that might impact the supply chain. Your ability to communicate clearly and stay on top of details ensures smooth coordination both internally and with external partners.
What You Bring
Experience & Education:
- MBO 4 education, preferably with a logistics background.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in logistics.
Skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
- Accurate, organized, and proficient in time management.
- Skilled in Excel and document handling.
- Able to work independently as well as within a team.
- Proactive, reliable, and detail-focused.
