Role, Team & Location

We are looking for a Procurement Lead – Fabrication & Key Components to join our international organization. This position will be based at our location in Heerlen, the Netherlands, and reports directly to the Manager Operations.

As Procurement Lead, you will take a visible role by incrementally assuming commercial ownership of the supply side of the organization for the defined categories Fabrication and Key Components. You will help create transparency across supplier markets, strengthen sourcing and supplier decision-making, and support the transition toward a global, scalable, and consistent Supply Chain model.

This is a unique opportunity to establish and shape Braden Group’s first dedicated Strategic Procurement function. Working closely with Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Quality and key suppliers, you will contribute to defining procurement strategies, governance and supplier management practices that support the company’s continued international growth.

Operating within a project-driven technical environment in the power generation industry, you will have the opportunity to influence how procurement is organized, strengthen supplier relationships, drive commercial value creation, and help build the foundation for a more strategically integrated Supply Chain function.

Key Responsibilities

As Procurement Lead, you will play a central role in developing a transparent, commercially driven, and globally aligned supply base for Braden Group’s fabrication and key component categories. You will establish and maintain a clear understanding of supplier capabilities, capacities, cost structures, delivery performance, risk exposure, and opportunities for cross-utilization across the organization.

You will lead sourcing initiatives from strategy through execution, including supplier market analysis, RFQ management, commercial evaluation, supplier selection, and recommendation preparation. Lead commercial negotiations with fabricators and strategic suppliers to secure competitive pricing, delivery commitments, contractual alignment, and balanced risk allocation.

Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Finance, and Business Unit stakeholders, you will align supplier capabilities and market availability with business demand, ensuring informed decisions are made regarding capacity, sourcing approaches, and project execution strategies. You will contribute commercial insight to project planning and decision-making, particularly in situations involving schedule pressure, supplier constraints, technical complexities, or execution risks.

In addition, you will support the development of robust supplier structures and long-term strategic supplier relationships while contributing to the establishment of procurement frameworks, processes, standards, tools, and working practices that strengthen the company’s evolving Supply Chain model. Through continuous performance monitoring and engagement with suppliers, you will drive improvements in cost competitiveness, quality, delivery reliability, responsiveness, and overall supply chain resilience.

The role requires frequent interaction with suppliers through structured communication, supplier visits, shop-floor assessments, and on-site commercial discussions to validate capabilities, strengthen relationships, and support effective decision-making across the supply base.
