Purchasing Assistant

Summary

Responsible for execution of requested operational purchasing processes and assistance in inventory contro.

Essential Function

  • Issues enquiries and/or purchase orders in accordance with division policies and procedures
  • Keeps trace records of on time material deliveries and makes sure material is procured within budget
  • Checks order confirmations and the receipt of the OC’s
  • Checks and approves incoming invoices about compliance and correctness
  • Controls and distributes the required documentation, such as material or test certificates and quality documents
  • Monitors delivery note, order confirmation and material certificate
  • Establishes relationships with suppliers and operational staff, works closely together with Buyer and Logistic employee
  • Assists manager in ensuring efforts are made to achieve department objectives efficiently.
  • Carries out general administrative tasks and other essential tasks as assigned

Our requirements

  • Completed commercial/administrative education
  • Several years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in a technical/engineering environment
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Good knowledge of German and English
  • Ability to work well with others and to interact with individuals at all organizational levels; conducts self in polite and professional manner
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Motivated to learn, willing to take training lessons, improve skills
