Role, Team & Location

The Site Construction Manager vacancy is based in the UK, with various project locations, requiring extensive travel. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic site environments, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in delivering high-quality construction projects.

While you will work closely with on-site teams, you are also part of a larger global operations team ensuring seamless execution of projects across multiple regions. You play a key role in managing site operations related to the destruction, retrofitting, and installation of gas turbine auxiliary equipment. Your expertise ensures that project execution aligns with safety, quality, and compliance standards, contributing to the successful delivery of upgrade solutions within the power generation and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

As a Site Construction Manager, you take charge of planning and organizing site operations, ensuring projects align with business objectives and stay on schedule. You coordinate daily activities, conduct risk assessments, and oversee safety documentation in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015. Additionally, you perform in-depth surveys and condition assessments of aging gas turbine auxiliary equipment.

Leading on-site teams, including subcontractors, you ensure projects are executed to the highest standards while maintaining strict adherence to timelines and quality requirements. You oversee workmanship and material quality, implement inspection procedures, and guarantee the availability of necessary resources, tools, and safety equipment. Safety and compliance are at the core of your role. You enforce health and safety protocols, conduct regular site inspections, and ensure adherence to NEBOSH and IOSH standards. Any safety concerns are promptly addressed with corrective measures.

Acting as the key liaison between clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, you facilitate clear communication and problem-solving to keep projects on track. You manage site challenges proactively, provide progress updates, and document safety audits and incidents. Beyond execution, you contribute to budget control and resource allocation while conducting detailed equipment assessments to support risk mitigation. You also ensure turnkey projects comply with NEC3 & NEC4 contracting standards, delivering high-quality engineering and construction solutions.
