Role, Team & Location
We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our Product Solutions team in Heerlen. In this role, you will be responsible for performing structural calculations, analyses, and design verifications for Braden’s engineered products — focusing primarily on the external and supporting structures. You will ensure that all solutions meet the required safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness standards.
You will collaborate closely with Application Engineers, Design Engineers, Simulation Engineers, and Project Managers to develop reliable structural solutions that comply with customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
As a Structural Engineer at Braden, you will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity and reliability of our engineered solutions. From the early offer stage to project execution, you are responsible for transforming complex technical requirements into safe, efficient, and compliant structural designs. You perform and verify structural calculations, assess load-bearing components, and translate your findings into clear design concepts that support both customer needs and internal standards.
Working closely with all colleagues, you ensure that every structure meets the required technical, contractual, and quality criteria. Your analytical mindset enables you to evaluate forces, stresses, and material behaviour under various operating conditions, ensuring each solution is both robust and cost-effective.
In this role, you also provide essential technical input during the proposal phase — supporting the sales team with accurate assessments and recommendations that strengthen Braden’s competitive position. Once projects move into execution, you coordinate the transfer of technical details and calculation results, ensuring a seamless handover and smooth collaboration across teams. Beyond the office, you may visit customers, fabricators, or job sites to review structural concepts and discuss engineering solutions directly. You are constantly looking for opportunities to improve — developing innovative, practical, and cost-efficient approaches that enhance the quality and performance of Braden’s products.
Ultimately, your work ensures that every structure we deliver is not only technically sound but also contributes to Braden’s reputation for excellence and reliability in the global energy industry.
