Role, Team & Location

We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our team at our office in Heerlen, the Netherlands. In this role, you will be at the centre of our technical projects, helping to keep people, information, materials, and activities aligned throughout the project lifecycle. You will support the coordination and control of projects and help ensure that schedules, deliverables, documentation, and project priorities remain on track.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, suppliers, and other internal and external stakeholders. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex projects and working across different disciplines in an international technical environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Project Coordinator, you help drive the day-to-day coordination of our projects. You support project planning, monitor progress and key milestones, and follow up on actions to ensure activities remain aligned with agreed schedules and priorities. By maintaining accurate project information, documentation, reports, and controls, you provide the project team with the visibility needed to make informed decisions. Communication and coordination are central to your role. You connect colleagues across different departments helping to keep everyone aligned on project progress, priorities, materials, and upcoming deliverables. You also support project meetings and ensure that actions and decisions are followed through.

You will have an active role in material and procurement coordination, tracking material availability and lead times and supporting procurement activities through our ERP system. At the same time, you help monitor project risks, changes, and potential constraints, identifying issues early and escalating them where necessary. With your structured and proactive approach, you help create the control, communication, and coordination needed to keep complex technical projects moving forward successfully.

 

What You Bring

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred;
  • 1–2 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, project support, or a comparable role;
  • Experience within power generation, utilities, EPC, industrial manufacturing, or another technical project environment is preferred;
  • Experience working with cross-functional project teams;
  • Familiarity with project planning, scheduling, project controls, risk management, and change control processes;
  • Experience with project documentation, reporting tools, and ERP environments.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable coordinating multiple priorities at the same time;
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work effectively across different functions;
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is preferred;
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor, SAP, Oracle, IFS, or similar is an advantage;
  • Understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), procurement processes, and technical documentation;
  • Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
